reBIND implements the BioCASe Protocol and can connect to biodiversity networks like GBIF

A special module has been developed, which provides the connection to biodiversity networks like GBIF and BioCASe. Both of these networks support the BioCASe Protocol for querying ABCD data. The module accepts requests in the BioCASe Protocol (XML-based) and translates these to query the datasets published via the reBIND workflow. The resulting data (in ABCD format) has been wrapped in a BioCASe response header to send back to the biodiversity network. The end-point of the reBIND service has been registered with GBIF. All of the datasets published through reBiND have been harvested by GBIF.
